Hardware and OS Requirements

Synthesis is available for the Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, and Linux Operating Systems (OS).

The following Operating Systems are supported:
  • Microsoft Windows: Windows 7, Windows 10
  • Apple Macintosh (OS X): 10.10 Yosemite, 10.11 El Capitan, 10.12 Sierra, 10.13 High Sierra
  • Linux: Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 17.10 (note: other Linux versions are not formally supported)
The following are minimum Hardware Requirements for use with Synthesis:
  • CPU: 1.2 GHZ dual-core
  • 4 GB memory (preferrable 8 GB)
  • 256 GB Hard Drive (note: Synthesis projects containing many PDFs will require increased Hard Drive space)
  • 1280 x 800 display
