Importing References from Web of Knowledge™

Synthesis can import references from Web of Knowledge (previously "Web of Science"). This procedure explains the process.

Perform this task in order to export references fom the Web of Knowledge™ website, and import them into Synthesis.

1. Access the Web of Knowledge™ search page at http://login.webofknowledge.com
2. Enter search term in the search field at the top of the web page (e.g. "patient flow")
   1. Examine results
3. Go to the bottom of the page. Under Output Records Step 1 enter the number of records to download (limit is 500)
4. Under Step 2 click on the Full Record checkbox.
5. Under Step 3 click ENDNOTE
6. This creates a file called savedrecs.ciw
7. Import the file, see Importing References from Files
