Working with Settings

Synthesis allows the user to set project-specific settings that may help improve workflow and data management.

The settings that can be changed are as follows:

  • Project title and description
  • Selecting whether primary and/or secondary reviewer ratings should be shown in the reference table
  • Adding keywords to highlight in abstracts and full texts, for easier identificaiton of keywords
  • Adding exclusion reasons for abstracts and full texts, to help categorize exclusions
  • Adding custom columns that contain data used in the data extraction phase
  • Select whether or not duplicates will be shown in the references table
  • Select whether or not Pubmed meta data will be shown in the references table
  • Select whether or not PDF viewer should be shown

Settings can be changed from either the Project > Project Settings ...menu, by pressing Ctrl-P on the keyboard, or by accessing the Project Informationtab.
